Anyway he is cheeky and charming and so much fun! You should hear his squeeky little voice. Enjoy the photos.
Then here are some smaller babies... (This is Gabby, Toby and Mia getting ready for feeds)
This is Gabby - she smiles all the time and gets into everything. I love her.
Ok that is all I could upload for 45 mins, so I will be back with more photos and stories later.
Bye

Thanks for posting the pics and sharing your adventure in this way! I was able to help at Bulrushes for a couple days this past year and am really hoping I'll get a chance to go back next year. So I'm living vicariously through you and love that I came across your blog! Dr Moses has grown so much - he was so scrawny when we were there. I can't imagine what it's like with 80+ babies, there were only 20 when we were there.
Anyway, blessings on you as you help out there!
Wow Susanna, thanks for posting. Things at the babies home are so hectic, but they are all doing amazingly well. SO many babies have pulled through all sorts of things to be beautiful, strong and healthy. They amaze me, and so does God.
Dr is the cheekiest little thing you can imagine - he has real spunk! I made him cry yesturday, because I found him - escaped and driving a toy car out the front door - cheeky little thing he is.
Thanks again.
Stay in touch.

Felicity, that is so funny about DrM - I Love it!!
I have to ask you about Sara. When I was there a year ago, she had just come into the home at 7 months old but just 7 pounds. She totally stole my heart. How is she doing now?
Are you by any chance staying in Lydia's guest house? When you described your view over the city and lake it sounded like where we had stayed, but I'm sure there are many guesthomes with that same view!
Blessings!
Just last week I saw the Watoto Choir sing at my church. My heart is really pulling me to volunteer and because I'm a student I have time over the summer months. Unfortunately, also because I'm a student I don't have much money. Could either of you (Felicity or Susanna) discribe the process you went through? I've been emailing with someone from the organization who has told me that there is an application process for individuals. What's that like? Also how did you raise the funds? Could you estimate your costs? Any advice either of you could offer me would really be appreciated. I'm so excited to read your blog! Thanks for your patience while uploading the pictures! :)
God Bless and kiss the one of those babies for me!

Katherine, I don't think I'll be the best person to answer this for you. When I went over I was with a group from my church and we had gone over to build one of the Watoto homes, but I was able to sneak away for a couple days and help in the babies home.
We raised money together as a church and paid some ourselves as well (we were only there for two weeks total). We raised a set amount per person and that covered our lodging and transport while we were there.
So I haven't yet done the application process to volunteer. Hopefully in another year I'll be able to tell you, or rather you will be able to tell me!
That is awesome that you want to go. My experience has been that when there is somewhere that I've really felt God wanted me to be, he's helped work out the finances and many of those details. So keep on trusting, researching and see what doors he opens :)
Susanna - Sarah is doing wellbut has a massive hernia! I am staying at Emmaus(Lydia's guesthouse! it is great)
Katherine- pleaseemailmeat felicity-louise@hotmail.com to ask these questions and I willgive you info... thanks
